4 orim's chant
3 restock
4 nostalgic dreams
4 millstone

this is just an idea i got after torment after reading the spoiler and these were the only cards i could think of right now. with nostalgic dreams and retock i can easily put orims back in my hand for his next turn. and millstone to do the work.

maybe this deck could use blue for control or some creatures to start? im not to sure what to put in this deck so someone please help.

...and holistic wisdom somehow isn't better? if turbochant will ever work, i think it will be in some combination with plagurize.

in the past, it was very dificult to function without a howling mine. plagurize sloves that as well as not letting your opponent horde counters and tear you apart when they feel like it. at this point i think it sucks, but if used in conjunction with something like teferi's moat (since wizards is trying to shift everything to mono color again), it might be ok

Holistic Wisdom isn't good enough. Try it. It just doesn't work as well as Restock or Dreams.

TurboChant tends to lose to the 'global reset' decks, Tings and Tog, plus it sometimes randomly loses to RG and other beatdown decks, and it loses to an Opposition if they can get it on the table. Those will be popular enough to make this one a bad choice at regionals.

ok here's what i came up with so far.

4 harrow
2 teferi's moat
2 fof
4 reclaim
1 holistic wisdom
4 millstone
4 howling mine
3 restock
4 orims chant
3 plagiarize
4 nastolgic dreams
--25 lands--
4 treva's ruins
3 island
6 forest
3 brushland
4 city of brass
5 plains

i splashed blue for fof and plagairize and i used plagairize once on him and used the dreams and retock to bring back. harrow can either be an accelerator or a ditch for holistic wisdom. reclaim can help when you dont get that restock or whatever you need.

i tested this so far on only white weenie and this owned it. ill post further tests on here.

I was thinking of adding black for entomb for a tutor like effect.

well aragorn i already have 3 colors and blue was splashed and i think that 4 colors is too much.

4 millstone seems excessive. also, sligh is a problem since they can just burn you out

By Sideath on Saturday, February 02, 2002 - 05:44 pm:

yea goat i found that out. but that's why i have harrow in my deck to accelerate. this deck usually pulls through though against slight. so far the only deck i played to give me problems was psycatog and i havent tested against tings yet.

any suggestion on the deck? oh and also the 4 stones are needed.

find room for 4 lifeburst

also find room for 2 to 3 big critters
spirit monger,
serra angel, or
irridecsent angel

with the chants going you can just kill them. its alot easier than millstoning them for 20 turns

I ran a deck similar, and it needs 4 wraths to survive

my deck ran 3 still life 1 irridecsent angel, and 4 wrath along with the chant stuff

It worked, but you need to control the board before you can chant lock, 1 creature gets down, you are on a clock to A) find the moat B) lock them down so they can't do anything. often it doesn't happen that way.

Pack more removal, or lots of life bursts/lifegain
up the holistic wisdoms to 3 or 4!!!!!!!!
it is very important for this deck.
Holistic Wisdom=recursive Orim's chant

Good luck and hope my advice helps

Why don't you just play UWg. THis way you can have more counter/control effects, but use dwell on the past. Yeah, of course dwell on the past doesn't put the cards into your hand, but I would play it over restock. Especially in this style of deck.

By Sideath on Tuesday, February 19, 2002 - 04:04 pm:

i am playing blue white and green ckg..

ive tested this deck enough and i tinkered with the decklist alot... this deck just loses too much. i wouldnt bother with this deck.

I agree with U/W/g, I play lots with G/W with holistic/howling mine/voice of all/30 or so instants, and it works fine, but not tier 1 by any matter. I like it better with blue, for memory lapse + counter + absorb + PLAGARIZE, a fun new way to go. Still not tier 1, but it will win some games anyway.
