darzim traversed the stairs that lead into an empty room, besides a stone circle in the back.

its a portal to the spire. it hasnt been used since my birth.
whats "the spire"?
its a place outside of our world, where everyone can meet at. some sort of clan protects it and its impossible to lead an invasion through it. theres portals scattered across the world, and this is one of them. ive just got to figure out how to use it. but never mind that for now, weve got other business.

darzim quickly walked through. he was gone for about 5 minutes, and thalag was starting to get worried. finally darzim emerged from the portal.

well, you’re the only one with any real experience with this metal, and without you, I doubt even the soldevi can forge something with it.

they’re an ancient race, very few of them are still around. They head a guild in spyre, called the soldevi guild. Master artificers, and probably can do as much with metal as we can. Which is why im sending you there. With their help, we may be able to harness athalon’s power.
