alright, the judgement list is out (http://www.starcitygames.com/php/news/expandnews.php?Article=2795) and there are now outright "you win" cards for every color. which card gets the most solid win and is easiest to build a deck around?
Coalition Victory
Test of Endurance
Battle of Wits
Mortal Combat
Chance Encounter
Epic Struggle
decklists appreciated
White and Green are the easiest.
All they require are a mana engine and a card to use the mana.
We already have decks designed to generate limitless life and limitless creatures.
Blue requires a special deck(you CAN'T win with a 60 card deck)
Black needs a special deck also, though not as unique as blue's. Having a deck with that many critters, plus a way to get them into the graveyard en masse, plus ways to stay alive while doing it, doesn't leave a lot of spare room in the deck.
Red requires events, and specialized events that make you flip a coin. Somewhat limiting.
well, with red, you can always go with orcish captain (from fallen empires) and about face to flip as many times as you want.
however, with blue, in the right deck, you just win with it (come upkeep). You don't need to set up anything, you just need to get it into play. I think that actually makes it the most playayble (after all, they will keep printing search cards, and opt-style cards, so the battle of wits deck can only get better)
viashino sandswimmer, orcish captain and bottle of suleiman all mean one flip for 1 mana. All extended legal too ^_^
yes, but the captain, plus about face gives you 1,000,000 flips, if you need that many.
I was personally thinking of a modified secret force deck:
bayou, city of brass, savanah, tagia, tropical island
gaea's cradle
land grant, crop rotation
natural order
birds of paradise, sliver queen, squee
coalition victory
I don't hav the exact numbers worked out yet , but I think it could work.
-squee, I forgot that he works with that other green enchantment.
