Someone else read and tell me what u think so that i may be able to tell my friend, and u guys sound pretty smart so ill have some intelligable things to say to him. Our writing abilities do not extend 10th grade English and the Fantasy Novels we have read over our 16 year old lives -alright.

What makes a writer good writer? The opinions of other people? I suppose that is the case if the writer is primarily concerned with the opinions of people who read his/her works.

My opinion is:
If you truly think something is good writing, it is good writing as far as you are concerned. If the writer truly thinks his/her writing is good, then it is good as far as he or she is concerned. I, personally, wouldn't accept somebody else's opinions based solely on their position. That doesn't mean I won't listen to other people's opinions, on the contrary: I sometimes find them quite valuable. I just prefer to make the final decision for myself.
