HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Beyond Dominia: The Role Playing Mill: HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Magically transported from all parts around Phaema, everyone on the planet found themselves. In a huge banquet room that spanned for miles, people were sitting with piles upon piles of food in front of them. A voice came from the head of the table, where a large man with a beard was drinking merrily. "Eat up! No fightin' either!"

Ravyson, Jerreck, and Liander looked nervously at Apyrel. The Wraith-kin and their prey exchanged glances. Humans stared at the otehr races, especially the kobolds. Then everyone began to smile, talk and be merry.

Happy Thanksgiving guys. Even you who aren't from America. Which I believe is just Anders, our Swedish friend. You guys eatin' food all day over there too? Well, it could happen!

I'm thankful for all of you, even though there aren't that many. I'm thankful for my school, my football team, my girlfriend, my family, and a lot of other stuff.

Have fun eating all day and watching football. And then cleaning up for hours on end. I hope you're all going someplace else for dinner, 'cause the cleanin' is not fun. Better to stick someone else with it. Hehehe.

Eat, drink, and be merry.

Thanks James. As I iterated at dinner today: It's the people that really matter. Any clothes will clothe you, any house will house you, any vehicle will take you where you want to go, and any novelty will provide amusement, but there can be no substitute for friends and family.

I consider all of you guys (all the regulars at BD, even) friends. I would be a totally different person if I hadn't met some of the people that I have from BD. Maybe that's why I cling to this mill so much, despite seemingly low usage.

Sigh. It's not a good sign when I get sentimental.

A Happy Thanksgiving to everyone from me as well. Even though my former high school's football team lost the Turkey Bowl today, ending an eleven year winning streak, it still turned out okay. Hope you all are enjoying it as much as I am.

Turkey Bowl?

By Jerreck on Friday, November 24, 2000 - 10:18 am:

Well, we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here, so we won't be eating any extras. However, since my girlfriend is from Canada, she has been poking me a little about it. It seems they have a different date for it than you guys though. Hmm.. also i never really figured out what it is that is celebrated... something about the pioneers going west being thankful for having food on the table?

Ah well, at least i'll have some chicken for dinner today then, and think of you guys! Happy Thanksgiving. :)

The Pilgrims and the Indians got together to celevrate all they had given one another: food, knowledge, and land to the Pilgrims, and smallpox, syphillis, and death to the Indians. Happy After-Thanksgiving!
