C'mon people. I'm the only one to make a post in the past, oh, 5 days or so. No one's continued the RBS for about 3 or 4 days. Someone should start a new thread for the RBS. Maybe no one's noticed all the replies to the last thread in it, "The Plateau". That thread's getting awfully long, but hasn't continued for days. C'mon!! Am I the only one who's had too much sugar and Mountain Dew?!? :) Someone reply to this or continue the RBS so I know that everyone didn't just suddenly forget this place is here and find something else to do.
This post brought to you on a whim from the overly-hyper ~/\/\ist Phantom ~ (don't worry, its only temporary - maybe) :)
I'm too sick to write anything good. I got the flu.
Dang. I hate the flu. Luckily I don't get it much anymore. Hope ya get well soon.
Anyhoo, I just remembered something I've been wondering about and keep forgetting to ask. Just how do you make italic text, and how do you make colored text? Thanks much.
~ /\/\ist Phantom ~
\i{text you want to be italic}
\red{text you want to be red}
There are a limited number of preprogrammed colors, but you can always do.
\rgb{hexcode,text to be colored}
Also, the following are some colors that one might not expect which are presently defined:
\sageadvisor{}
\serra{}
\arasus{}
\leydruid{}
\whiteblade{}
For more information, click the "Help" link at the top of the page and then click on "Formatting." That section contains almost every formatting code, organized categorically.
Thanks Shadow. I didn't know about that stuff on the help page.
Hey, how do you find out the hex code or whatever for a certain color? I wanted to use a blue-gray color for my signature but I'm not sure how to get it. Thanks.
That's...a very good question. The best thing to do is to find a chart. The only one I can think of off hand is at the following website:
http://hotwired.lycos.com/webmonkey/reference/color_codes/
Incidentally, Webmonkey is a really good reference site for anything and everything related to webdesign.
Note that those colors are presented on a white background, and they look astoundingly different on the black background used on BD, so it's a good idea to test the color here (just do the preview message thing and cancel it) before deciding.
