Beyond Dominia: The Role Playing Mill: Journey's End

Not the way I'd like to go. But so it is. In the midst of storylines I'd rather not leave unfinished, the time crunch is now upon me and I'm no longer able to keep up. I've been struck with massive, catastrophic internet failure on behalf of my service provider (inability to restore service in a month) and coming on Monday I will begin the (often vain) attempt to call them once more. Instead of asking kindly for them to return my service, I will be canceling it, and thus shall end my presence online except for brief incursions to check my e-mail. Also adding to my departure is the difficulty of school. I'm now putting in 5 extra hours per day, punctuated only by lunch and dinner, before going to bed at 10pm for much deserved rest. While I much enjoy spending weekends recharging my mind and writing stories for BD, the lack of effort on the part of my compatriots (Thrak in particular) to continue writing leaves me sapped for enthusiasm. I blame no one for their actions; life - gripless till now - has caught up with me as well.

For four tumultuous years, I've poured my heart and creative soul into this website in general, and the War/Role Playing Mills in particular. I've made many friends, and several enemies as well. In real life, I would be glad to meet any of you, and some I have had long relationships with both online and off. From the beginning of the Atog Wars through the death of the character I loved most of all (and continue to bear his name), to the birth of his children and their story I must leave unfinished, I find this place to still be a grand part of my heart, and it leaves me saddened to see the emptiness here now.

By the end of February, unless plans change (and they won't), I shall be moving to Ballston Spa, NY to continue my naval training, and if any of you in that area wish to meet with me, I eagerly welcome an e-mail. Even so, I cannot guarantee that I shall have the time for such an encounter, but insomuch as I have the ability to fulfill it, I shall attempt it.

So, with many thanks on behalf of everyone who has come before, everyone still here now, and those who might in the future return or just make this place home, I now take my leave. Never forget.

With great love and admiration for you all,
Jacob Lee Montanez,

Damn. One more gone. 8-|

Jake, any way you can get me the files you have for the RPM HP? I actually don't need most of them; just the ones that have changed since you moved it to your server (it's the content I'm interested in, not the actual design, which is good btw).

Sorry things haven't worked out w/ your connection. I suppose I'll have to do something else w/ Solice. Best of luck to you. I'll have to find somebody else to pick on now.

P.S. Ravyson, don't worry; he'll be back...eventually.
