Lenishin and Kiara, along with the members of his guard, walked into the tent of their leader. Reji'nik was sitting with his back away from the entrance. "Is the town still there?"
"Yes, sir, they took the correct course of action. Their loyalties are with us now. But I also have a new warrior."
"One new warrior warrants my attention, Len? Are we not getting a few more than that from the town?" Reji'nik turned around. "And a woman?" He began to laugh, there was no way that a strong warrior could be housed in such a small package.
Lenishin saw his master's reaction. "Yes, she is quite the formidable force. I doubted it at first, but she is more than capable. She will have her loyalties in place, she has seen what we have done to the towns that do not support our cause."
Reji'nik was still skeptical. "Well, girl, do you have a name? What do you have to say for yourself?"
She responded in an oddly sincere tone. "My name is 'Kiara,' and I have a question, sir: Is cheuvanism a common barbarian trait? I'm just curious, really."
Reji'nik was taken aback by the girl's impunity. Then he laughed. "You have quite the attitude girl. I can make good use of you. Do you have any qualms against assassination?"
