Well, apparently, my last post got deleted. Rakso, I have e-mailed you about this, but for now I will assume it was an accident or a slip-up since people have been allowed to plug their own articles in the past. Further, the article I am about to promote is on Star City, too, so..I also specifically said that you could delete it after a day or so. All I was trying to do was to direct anyone who wants to read a good and amusing magic tournament report (for a change) to go to www.neutralground.net to see my NY States Top 8 Report. It has some amusing stuff about Type
1 as well. If you are tired of boring tournament reports, check mine out. I know that Burning Ice enjoyed it. The article is entitled "New York States Report--*Top 8* by Edward Paltzik (me)

Please e-mail me at p***p@l***c.edu with any feedback or thoughts on my report since I may write more in the future, as a couple of people had suggested it to me after reading the report. This is my first report since the infamous Grinder, and only my second published article, but I like to write tournament reports. So check it out, enjoy it, and let me know what you think by e-mailing or posting here if you want. Thanks.

Funny, maybe. Pompous Prick was the term that most came to my mind.

Some people just don't appreciate the finer things in life. Like a good laugh.

I thought "pompous prick" at the first thing I read by you. But that was months and months ago. You've improved your writing considerably.

Ok, maybe what I said was a little harsh. Was i was trying to say was that you seemed quite disrespectful to your opponents. Maybe it was trying to be funny, but I just see it as poor sportsmanship.

By Legend (Legend) on Thursday, November 15, 2001 - 12:58 am:

No, no, Fragment---you are missing the point--I think sportsmanship is ESSENTIAL. I stress the importance of it ALL THE TIME. Shake their hand before and after the match. Enjoy the match. But you have to understand that I like to bring an exuberance to the game----it is all about winning and having fun, not disrespecting the opponent. The ridiculous jokes and sarcasm are just part of my personality--but if you would say that there is no place in the game for bad sportsmanship I would agree with that, certainly. But you need to be able to just laugh with me. Its all about having fun with the various situations that come up during the tournament. I've been told that my ridiculous banter during matches and my absurd tournament reports are off the wall, but it is all for laughs and fun. Sportsmanship and respect is important and I am often annoyed to find that many of my opponents don't share that same concern as I do.

I enjoyed more your previous report (where you had breakfast with your Morphlings), but it is quite good (especially the description of the last game :))- just not really T1...

BTW, if you don't care about the Odyssey cards you can send them to:
