Beyond Dominia: The Rumor Mill: Off topic: Anti-rogue?

Is it just me or does anyone not of a well-know status (Rasko, Legend, ect) posts an ORIGINAL deck that they didn't just copy off of a website, it immediatly is ruled out and ridiculed? Whenever I see a deck that looks like it has momentum but could maybe use a little help (what deck can't?), but then wait a second, the user isn't famous and it isn't copied off the internet?! So, 3-5 people immediatly have to post and mock the deck. Then a couple days later, the post gets deleted.
Does anyone else becides me notice this? And please, if people other then the "regulars" could tell what they think about this too? Hoping this thread doesn't get deleted, that is. I think we need to help people, not discourage them, don't you?

To tell you the truth, it's going to happen to some extent on any internet site that doesn't require passwords. For the most part anyone will make their best attempt to help.

Archangel: That's the way it is.

You'll be surprised how long WAY-OFF-topic threads are kept (at least for a whole week), like a kind of a public chat log posted so everybody looks at it even tough there are a lot of inside jokes and comments than few ones get. If those were posted by the people who shouldn't, then those same would be deleted.

Some of the rogue deck posts are sh*t, I agree, some get flamed like you say and like elrond says some people help, but anyways get deleted some days after.

That's the way it is. At least there are less personal attacks than say a month before, and the mods are dealing with the stuff they don't like in a more discrete way. But then people like you, notice again. This time, unlike the others, you didn't flame or lose your head, we have just made a step forward.

Will this thread be deleted? I think it has a change of being moved to the rumor mill.

The thread doesn't get deleted, it stops showing up because of a lack of posts. And to be fair, there are a goodly number of bad-to-horrible decks that get posted.

Bad decks only stick around when the creators' ego (or drug habit) is greater than the deck's suckulosity and they keep making inane posts about the deck, which just makes the deck become a running joke.

Good rogue decks exist, but if more ppl knew about them, they wouldn't be rogue, they'd either be "copied off the internet" as you phrase it, or Tier 3.

Yeah your right if a deck isn't copied they will ridicule it if it is good or has potential.I think it is niave of the "experts" to think that a new deck can't be competitive because it does'nt look like something they would build. When sligh was first played people laughed at the concept of the deck and said it couldnt win, man where they wrong.I was hoping that most of the "experts" would be intilligent enough to encourage a new deck and not say stupid things like "this deck sux a$$".
