... you see a movie listing for "Brother's Keeper" and wonder if its better than Matt D'Avanzo's.
... a TV show named "Dark Skies" makes you wonder: Blue Skies with Duress?
sorry but I was watching the TV guide channel and I actually did think those things. In light of that, I will be leaving the board and quitting magic
You see a can of Yan-Yan and think of Eddy P.
...when you hear the name "Katie" and think of Elf-Girl...
When you see a tele-evangelist on TV and think, "Wish I could siteban that guy."
... you respond to this thread
Half your friends refer to you by your handle in real life too.
All of your friends refer to you by your handle in real life..... Hell, when even your girlfriend screams the name "Azhrei....eerrr.... uhh... Tracer!", you know you've got it bad.
And I didn't even get a laugh......
Everyone I know calls me Liam. Of course, that's my real name...
no-one calls me Phoenix Red yet, if I have my way in Descent 3 they will.
Heh, the teacher writes the point (8,8) on the board (you know like on a graph) and the first thing which jumps into your mind is "trample"
(gotta love the avatars)
I've got the weirdest one of all.
When you're arguing for drug decriminalization and you think "gee, this reminds me of trying to get Wizards to reprint the power9".
And no, that does not make me the Hunter S. Thompson of magic. Actually that would describe a friend of mine though.
It was a required project in a class I took . . . for or against the war on drugs. Anyone who's ever read my trash on this site knows that I'm NEVER, EVER on the popular side of an argument. Never.
Just a social libertarian is all. . .
-HengeWolf, Druid Anarchist and 'Owner of the Rumor Mill*'
*Until Elrohir kicks my ass and takes the title.
Nah, I'm in semi-retirement right now. Besides, you've pretty much voiced opinions identical to my own, so you're my unofficial spokesman. Why say anything when you do my job for me?
I tend to agree with drug legalization but that's beside the point. My qualm is this: if the government is going to create policies that dictate what we can and can't do to ourselves, they should at least be consistent. Making alcohol legal while keeping marijuana illegal is probably the most hypocritical policy the U.S. government has ever implemented. Well, maybe not. Selling lottery tickets while making gambling illegal is up there.
I was giving serious consideration to saying that drugs and prostitution should be legalized but decided a moral/political debate was both off subject and a considerable waste of my time.
On another note, the new iMac is sexy. My aunt is considering one so I was checking them out at the local Apple store.
-Drooling Rico is anticipating the day when he can shell out mad cash for a Mac
I know my friends and I been playing the game too long because we use the cards to do schoolwork.
I turned in a project on lead filled with copied art from Goblins and artifacts.
Just the other day I saw some assignment turned in with a blown up pic of Sabertooth Tiger, 5th ed., hanging up in English.
You know you read this site too much when . . .
The refresh button in your browser becomes your best friend.
OUCH! That last one hurt
Avatar nothing, that's a Force of Nature you've got there, boy.
Hehehe, I'm 17 years old, I live in the Netherlands and I can buy Beer and Drugs legally... You live in America and you can be 250 and still don't buy drugs... LOL
[just wanted to say that]
-BWM, Phyrexian Anarchist and Owner of the Rumor Mill
Since neither Hengewolf of Elrohir wanted that title I'll just claim it MINE!!!
You can claim it all you want. You're entitled to your opinion, no matter how wrong it is.
Then I just claim the following titles: "Phyrexian Infiltrator"
just make it everything that starts with Phyrexian...
P.S. I'm a red mage, don't ask...
BWM: Hengewolf already claimed owner of the rumor mill. Read his above post.
General Talon: regardless of your stance on the issue I think you have to admit that the U.S. government should at least be consistent.
The new picture for Sengir Vampire is sweet. He looks great with that outfit. I'm definately gonna get four of those.
-Rico is lusting after Sengir Vampire
BWM--> I don't recall my saying I didn't want the title. If you can read my entire reprint thread AND recite it back to me word for word, then you can have it.
Elrohir--> I'm very flattered. Even though I still remember when you were Jake the Atog God!
Rico-->Governmental inconsistancy is what kills me too. Alcohol is really one of the worst substances . . . yet it's legal, and the real killer is that it's socially acceptable. Cigarettes are almost guaranteed to kill people, and despite what some people seem to think, they are a very addictive drug. No one gets 'high' on cigarettes because they're so addicted they need them just to feel normal!
If a person walked into work and said "Wow, I sure smoked a lot of weed this weekend!", they might lose their job, and people will look down on them. They will probably lose credibility. Yet if the same guy says 'Man, I was SO drunk the other night.' Everyone will just be like, "Cool, thumbs up to you! The man knows how to party!" Oh the hypocrisy . . .
I think that's all I really have to say on that subject . . .
-HengeWolf, Druid Anarchist and the REAL Owner of the Rumor Mill
You should have your name next to the parenthesis say 'Hengewolf, Owner of the Rumor Mill'. Dammit I forgot how to change it. Anybody? For some reason that really makes me feel useless.
-Rico, Henge Wolf's campaign organizer
so, I just claim it until somebody says I can't...
Just today I was in a room with someone and I caught a snippet of conversation that went like follows:
"Blah blah blah, Arctic Fox, blah blah blah".
So you know what immediately pops into my mind, right?
General Jarkeld of Ice Age flava text fame.
*Sighs*, what have things come to?
-Rico is a bonafied Magic geek
I'm in agreement with all in favor off legalized drugs, but i'm too high to elaborate on why...
I know i've read this site too much when in the middle of a conversation where I want to change the subject I go, "OFF TOPIC: ..." to the annoyance of my friends and colleagues.
