Can someone post a decklist for this Chains Of Metastophiles deck everyone keeps talking about hating?

I don´t have a decklist but the "engine" is Chains + Anvil of Bogardan, leaving your opponent at no cards for the remainder of the game. The only thing he can do is casting instants during his draw phase before resolving Anvil. Add Rack to the mix and some discard or draw-7 effect to strip his initial hand. The good thing about this combo is that it´s only one colour and that you can run very few lands cause Chains cost 1B, Anvil 2 and Rack 1.

It´s Chains of Mephistopheles. "Metastophiles" sounds like a veneral disease.

And anyone who's seen or been in Faust can tell you who Mephistopheles is.

Is Faust actually read outside Germany?

By BWM on Thursday, February 14, 2002 - 04:16 pm:

It's an english play... (I've read a piece of it for English class)... Well, the class did and I was probably making a deck...

Faust was written by Goethe.

By BWM on Thursday, February 14, 2002 - 04:51 pm:

What the fuck... Wasn't it by Christopher Marlowe???

By wumpus man on Thursday, February 14, 2002 - 06:20 pm:

Yup, then Goethe made an adaption of it.

Well Faust was an german telling, that is much older. Goethe made a play out of it in two parts, but the second part isn't real a sequel.
