Following the predictions, and my own expectations for the matchup, I pulled out a 2-1 win over Jelal's arena black deck. A breakdown of the games (i forgot to save 2 of the logs, so you'll have to settle for my recounting ability)

Game 1:

He wins the roll and plays first. His ritual/duress/hymn hurt quite a bit. I kept a hand of:
Wild Research, Fact or Fiction, Mana Leak, Intuition, Volcanic Island, Tropical Island x2.

His duress got my mana leak, and I lost both tropical islands to the hymn. I play my volcanic, but dont draw another land for the remainder of the game. Eventually a hypnotic specter beats me down.

*Sideboarding*
Out: 3 Wild Research, 1 Attunement, 1 Enlightened Tutor, 1 Mana Leak
In: 3 Pyroclasm, 1 Misdirection, 1 Hurkyl's Recall, 1 Moat

Game 2:

I get to go first, and I play out first turn Tundra, Mox Sapphire, Time Walk, then Volcanic Island, Sol Ring, Black Lotus. Unfortunately, I only have 2 lands left in hand after this.

His first turn consists of swamp and tormod's crypt.

I draw, play land, and wheel of fortune. My new hand has Attunement x2, Replenish, FoF, Mox Pearl, and Misdirection x2.

He eventually duresses out my Replenish, but I FoF twice, ancestral once, and am left with two attunements on the board and two pandemoniums in hand.

EOT I hurkyl's recall him and he crypts in response (a mistake, as i have no combo pieces in my graveyard. he should play it again next turn assuming i cant go off this turn).

I attune twice, dump the pandemoniums and a burst into my graveyard, and i replenish for the win.

Sideboard: the same as before

Game 3:

He opens with swamp, dark ritual, phyrexian negator.

My hand consists of:
Volcanic Island, Tundra, Mox Jet, Pyroclasm, Ancestral Recall, Misdirection, Tropical Island. I draw Time Walk, and drop Volcanic Island and Mox Jet.
I Time Walk, untap, drop Tundra, Pyroclasm away his only permanents, and then Ancestral.

I end up with FoW, 2 Misdirection, FoF, Attunement, Intution, and Replenish in hand with 2 Pandemoniums in the graveyard, and he still only has out a swamp and a strip mine. He should have strip mined my Tundra, as it was my only white source, but it really wouldn't have mattered - it would have stalled for one turn. EOT I Intution into 3 Bursts, 2 going to graveyard, and then i untap and replenish for the win.

I forgot to write down my opening hands, but I have a few things to add...

First game after going Ritual/Duress/Hymn I played Null Rod, then Arena. He did draw a few more lands, but I Sinked/Wasted them all immediately. I ended the game with 2 land destruction cards in hand.

Sideboard: Out 2 Edict, in 2 Crypt

Second game I was sure I was going to win, as he had pretty much emptied his hand and had Sol/Lotus/2 moxen in play, and I had a Null Rod ready for turn 2. Wheel destroyed my great hand, and the game went downhill from there.

Same sideboarding

Third game was all him. My first turn Ritual-Negator met a Pyroclasm, and the other land from my opening hand was the only land I drew for about 10 turns :(.

Wow, called this one almost exactly.

And Hurkyl's Recall is really cool tech, both against Crypt and the non-existant Tubbies decks.

I am very surprised at the lack of tubbies, since it has been getting lots of play in the minis and lots of people have been posting about it.

About tubbies: Parrot and I both had the same plot
about these decks- throw people off the scent of
our true decks. As you'll notice, my Necrotubbies
was built to utterly destroy BBS. What deck dies
to BBS? Tirx! With the free counters it has a
chance against Keeper, but mono-U would kill it.
So now notice how many mono-U decks are in this
compared to last ToC.... Muahahaha!
