Well, as you all know, the World's Championship is/ was held during the week. I was excited about it becuase it is finally my first chance to play in a Big T1 tourney. All week, my playtesting partners, Shawn, Kyle, Ray and Kevin all threw our cards together and attempted to make as much decks as possible. But most of my games were against Keeper and BBS (mono-blue).
Thus, i got up at 9 am, and went to Skyfox to pick up Shawn and Kyle to go to Toronot, but since Kyle is only 12, he was not allowed to go. Now its only left with me and Shawn. We have planned to meet up with Ray and Kevin later that day....couple of hours passed... We arrived at the tourney site, my first task of the day was to find someone with a Mox Saphire for trade/sale. After some roaming, i found some guys from Italy and unloaded nearly my entire T2 HOT cards and got an Alpha Mox Saphire, in very very good condition. Luckily, i meet up with Dan, and was managed to borrow his Beta Lotus. So i played BBS, with MISHRA's Factories!!! and my teamate played Keeper without full Power.
so heres my deck.

Land: 22
3 Wasteland
1 Strip mine
4 Mishra's Factory (Best Cards of the Day!!!)
14 Island

Spells: 19
4 counterspell
4 Mana Drain
4 Force of Will
3 Misdirection

Others: 19
1 Time Walk
1 Mox Saphire
1 Black Lotus
3 Nevy's Disk
2 Back to Basic
2 Morphling
1 Masticore
4 impluse
4 Fact or Fiction

SideBoard:
4 Chill (TOTALLY USELESS who plays Red in T1)
2 Maze of Ith (Same as above, but with creatures.
3 Legacy Allure (Once Again, look above)
4 Rootwater Thief (Amazing vs BBS and Keeper)
1 Black Vise (LOOK above)
1 Back to Basic (vs Keeper = i win)
...

As you can see, i am missing some P9, but since i coudn't get them, i had to settle for what i got.
Now on to the report

29 people, 5 round of Swiss, cut to top 8.

Round 1
I faced an Oath Deck.
Game 1: He put early pressure via 2 mishra's Factories, but i managed to sneak out a B2B, brought my Morphling, so did my opponent, via Oath, but with mana, i just flew over him and win.

Game 2: After siding in 4 rootwater thiefs, i managed to "cap" away his only 3 creatures. THis game he did not even get an Oath out, no green mana, again, Morphling came down for the win.
...

Round 2
I faced a Ful-Power Keeper.
Game 1: My opponent got an amazing start via, Land, Mox, Lotus, Morphling... Go... Damn, no FoW in hand, but i met his Amazing start with my own, Land, Lotus, Disks, go. So i took 5 damaged from his Morphling and cleared to board. But in late games, i got mana screwed and Keeper was able to find all his "Silver Bulets" (Ancestral, tutor, Yawgwill, timewalk, LoA on the same turn!!!) and Morphling came to his side and killed me in 3 turns.

Game 2: Sideboarded in 4 thiefs... i was able to put early pressure with Mishras Factories, and able to force out a B2B, morphling came down for the win.

Game 3: i belief i opened with some lands and a lotus, i build up a steady mana base, and forced out a B2B. The turn later, i countered his Aura Fracture... it was only a matter of time for me to get my Morphling and win.
...

Round 3:
I faced a Mirro Matchup, BBS, with full Power.

Game 1: i dropped a 2n turn Factory and put early pressure on him, he dropped a B2B, which i baited with some counters. But on the next turn, i played my Disk, after winning the counter fight, i stop his attempt to play his Morphling, then played mine, and won...

Game 2: Sideboard in 4 thiefs and 1 Black Vise. With an opening hand of 2 lands, and 1 Vise, i obviously keep. The Vise proved to be key, it dealt 12 damaged. i also dropped a 2nd turn Thief, which surprised him, but he dropped a power keg, choosing to kill the thief over the vise. On his next turn, trying to stay under 4 cards to avoid vice damage, he played Mana Crypt and Masticore... Keep in mind he is at 5, and me being at 20. i didn't bother coutering the Core, becuase i thought that he would die to his Crypt. OH MY GOD, he managed to win 6 consective Coin Flips, calling Head... As he would stated, "The Queen Loves Me" so now i am at 8, becuase i managed to block with 1 Morphling, then dropped the 2nd, he manged to kill that also, but tapping out, and attacked to put me at 4. I looked at my side of the table, and saw 1 Factory, and asked him can he stop it, so after the attack, the game was mine.
...

Round 4:
I faced another Full-Power Keeper, this is the only Opponent that i remeber his name, he was Marco. Cool guy, i played him before at Skyfox, so Marco was not so happy to see me across from him.

Game 1: Once again B2B rapes Keeper, after locking him, i found my Morphling and Disks when i neeeded them and won.

Game 2: Same sideboard, 4 thiefs... we played lands and moxes over the 1st 6-8 turns,i manged to start a counter fight over a FoF, which he made a mistake by tapping out to cast his FOW... so i allowed for him to win the counter-battle. But i managed to win the War, with my B2B drop next turn. Now he is locked, and i found my Thief, and began to "cap" out his Creatures and Black Lotus, Which he spent his 1 Underground Sea to Vampiric For. ON A SIDE NOTE: The BattleBot demonstration was about to begin, and i repeatedly asked for Marco to concede, but he did not, i said that there was no was you are gonna win, me holding 6 counterspells and 1 Impluse, after seeing my 2nd Thief coming out with no counter-fight, he agreed to concede. So i packed my deck and ran to see BattleBots, but by then, it was over, NOOOOOOOOOO....
...

Round 5:
I faced another BBS, Of Course Full-Power.

Game 1: My oponent was surprised to see me play Mishra's Factories, so he immediately drop a B2B, which i only used 2 counters to bait him, as holding a disk in hand. Next turn once again dropped disk and won win Mishras.

Game 2: I sideboard in 4 thiefs, and i noticed that he sideboarded in Briberies. During the mid-game, i cast 1 of my 3 morphlings, which he allowed... i was happy to hear that OK... but on his next turn he Briberied my Morphling, so we played Draw-Go for the next 15 turns or so, and i managed to drop some Factories and Thief... After some Kamakzi attacks, i manged to kill him with Factory damage and the Thiefs, as he had to block my Morphling.
...

So Top 8 was annouced and 1 was the top seed. Unfortunately my Partner, Shawn came in 10th, so he got some random rares out of the 4 boosters that he won. So in the T8, there were 4 BBS, me being the Only deck without "Full-Power".

My first opponent was the 8th seed, the famous Bob Maher. He was playing Keeper, Full-Power, a Deck which he borrowed from his friend.

Game 1:
I keep an opening hand with 1 island and 1 wasteland, i won the roll and decided to play... My turn: Island, go. Bob drops an LoA go... crap, but the wasteland took care of the LoA, but i did not get my 2nd and 3rd land until 5 or 6 next turns. During my ManaScewed, BoB's Deck game him every Restricted Cards in Magic: MindTwists, Ancestral, Time Walk, Yaw'sWIll, LoA. He out drew me by 20 cards and dropped his Morphling. My futile attempt to play a Disk with no card in hand was stoped by his, "In Respond ill draw in my LoA, and of course, with 8 cards in hand he countered it." i lost miserably.

Game 2: Sideboarded in 4 thiefs. i kept a hand of 2 islands and 2 impluse... My 1st Turn: Island Go.., BOB's 1st Turn: LoA, GO...!!!WTF!!! After 2 Impulses, i found my wasteland, but the damage was done. Basicly, he won in 1 turn... Mindtwisting me for 6, dropping some moxes, casting timewalk, ancestrall, and tutored for a Yaw.WIll.... Now the nightmare begins again... i sit there helplessly as he surfs through he deck, casted Morphling, which i Fought with 2 counters, but i never had the chance with his card advantaged. Morphling kills me quickly.

.............................................
Well, that's my report, thanks for reading.
BTW, Mishra's Kicks-*** , every one was surprised to see me Play Mishras and B2B in Main Deck. After the loss, i grabbed my 8 boosters and went home. Thanks to my friend Don, who gave us a drive to the Oshawa Centre. I hope to see more BIG T1 tourneys, i mean, T2 is fun, but i know that some people would like to put their P9 to use, as they spend $$$ and effort to get them. Hey if anyone knows of some decent T1 tourny, around the Greater Toronto Area, give me an email, 8***n@a***l.com

Later Y'all.
