Well today my cousin and I played at interzone comix in gresham oregon. Biggest turnout I have seen with 20 people playing.

The decklist..

4 Morphling
2 Masticore
3 Impulse
4 FoF
1 Ancestral Recall
1 Time Walk
4 FoW
4 Mana Drain
4 Mana Leak
2 Misdirection
2 Counterspell
3 Powder Keg
16 Island
7 Broken Artifacts
1 Strip Mine
1 Wasteland
1 LoA

SB
4 B2B
4 Control Magic
3 Chill
2 Nev. Disk
1 Masticore
1 Misdirection

Round 1, vs Mike (my cousin) playing Sligh
Game 1
He plays first, mountain, Shamen. I have to force and it goes way downhill from there. He plays tons of threats and I can't seem to find any cores to save me.

Game 2
Side in chills. Turn 1 chill seals the game I FoF up another along w/ 2 moprhling and he concedes.

Game 3
I get a good opening hand with a keg and some acceleration and counters. go turn 1 keg after he plays first and has a shamen. I am forced to blow the keg after he plays out a few more mogg fanatics and has me pretty low on life. I almost took control of this game but after the keg was blown he drops Cadets, Pup in the same turn and I am to low on life to comeback.

Matches 0-1 (1-2)

Round 2: vs someguy w/ Really bad R/G/W.
Game 1 and 2.
I play masticore and roll him both games not much to say about this.

Matches 1-1 (3-2)

Round 3: vs Mike R. (about 6 mikes goto this shop) playing B/W Shadow.
Game 1
I go mox, land go. He trys to ritual out a shadow creature I mana leak. It is all downhill for him after that his shadows cant race masticore.
Game 2:
Side in another masticore and B2B. Go turn 1 B2B he loses pretty bad when masticore makes his apperance.

Matches 2-1 (5-2)

Round 4: vs Andy w/ WW splashing black.
Game 1:
He gets some weenies out and beats me down, morphlig and a keg join the party it is shortly over in my favor.
Game 2:
See game one except masticore was the culprit. though defense grids slows down my plans until a disk shows up.

Matches 3-1 (7-2)

Top 8.

Sligh - Mike (my cousin)
Sligh - Scully
B/W Pox - Jason
BBS - Paul (me)
Forbidian - Mike
Sneak Attack - Dave
Black Control - Brad
WW - Andy

Top 8 vs Scully with Sligh.
Game 1:
I keg away some early creatures but see none of my own and eventually run out of counters and loose.

Game 2:
Multiple Chills slows him down, Kegs destroy what he does play, and twin morphlings win it for me.

Game 3:
See game 2, except he never really gets anything out and it's over quickly.

Matches 4-1 (9-3)

Top 4 vs Mike w/ Forbidian
All of these games I was getting harassed for
playing with Moxes instead of Grim Monolith/Mana Crypt/Mana Vault. And also being a scrub because I didn't use thawing glaciers. As well they say academy is the best type 1 deck. Anyways. ;)

Game 1:
This was an incredibly long game that I am finally able to win when I am able to force a morphling through after a volley of 8 counters.
I would have won earlier but I had four people around me harassing me and I forgot to pay the upkeep for my masticore. (this is after I stack the effect and FoF in response.)

Game 2:
I wage a counter war and miss by one mana. I get a morphling down eventually and he gets a core down the next turn and pings it to death. (tons of land from his glaciers.) Had him B2B stalled most of the game.

Game 3:
He is mana screwed and has to mulligian down to 5 and he looses to a turn 4 morphling.

Matches 5-1 (11-4)

Top 2 vs Jason w/ B/W Pox.
I felt I was pretty much screwed and destined to loose but I kept a smile on my face, while everyone was saying that I had a 1/100 chance of beating him.

Game 1:
He duresses me, verdicts me, but it's just not enough as I am able to somehow get out a good amount of mana and throw down a masticore hoping to get this game over with. he hymms me I loose the mox in my hand and the core. Topdeck morphling he somehow goes all the way for me.
Game 2:
He duresses, mana leak it. play turn 1 B2Bs (he had alot of non basics for a 2 color deck) slow him down significantly. he verdicts me but by that time I have quite a bit of mana avaliable and Morphling in my hand play it. He has no immedicat answer as all his white mana is tied up. Eventually he Vindicates the B2B and drops a scroll but it's far too little to late and morphling finishes the tournament.

Matches 6-1 (13-4)

I get 35 store credit and he gets 25. not bad for a $5 entry fee. get my self a nice ultrapro deck case to go along with the mint english Abyss my cousin and I picked up earlier in the day with his previous store credit.

Mike takes 4th place, beating Sneak Attack, and loosing to Pox, and Forbbidian in the top 8.

If there are any good players in the portland area who are looking for a team (or teammates) contact me l***u@f***t.net

Oh yes and thank you Danny Flanagan for showing up and being a moron and selling cards as usual. Maybe you can make this the third store in the metro area your banned from.

Props Everyone I played.

Slops Danny for being such an idiot and trying to put everything in his pants, as well as screwing over the store by selling cards to people and for ripping people off. "Why don't you trade me those 5 duel lands for these two Mirari's they are so good!"..
