These were the most amazing games ever.

Game One

My opening hand is Pearl, 2 Island, Wasteland, Mana Drain, Mana Leak, Masticore

We start having a mana fight. I Waste two factories, he Strips an Island and Kegs two moxen, and suddenly I have only one Island in play to his two and one Factory. Whoops.

I eventually topdeck out of it. I Merchant Scroll into Ancestral into Lotus, which I use to play my Core. After he chumps for a while, I attack for the win. He eventally dies to his own Serendib.

In: 4 Psionic Blast, 2 Masticore
Out: 3 Powder Keg, 2 Back to Basics, 1 Merchant Scroll

Game Two

Opening Hand: Black Lotus, 2 Island, Strip Mine, Psionic Blast, Morphling, Masticore

I play a first turn core. It resolves. I win, right?

Holy Pikula!

Nope. He chump-blocks to stay alive, then starts racing ahead of me on card advantage with an Ancestral and two FoFs, and then plays a Core of his own. Due to his mana superiority, he wins.

Same Sideboarding.

Game Three

My opening hand: Mox Emerald, 2 Island, Mana Drain, Mana Leak, Force of Will, Fact or Fiction

I counter everything he does, fact or fiction many times, play Morphling, and win.

The last exchange of the game was quite funny. Burning Ice was at five life. I Psi-blast him down to one, then do it agains. In response, he psi-blasts himself in a deranged attempt to deny me the satisfaction of killing him. I drain this one, he misdirects, I leak. So There.

*grin*

Guys, Burning Ice's deck looks really janky on paper, but it's quite good. It's like a freakish BBSish deck, but much faster and more angry. I think a tuned version without bad cards like Soothsaying and Powder Keg could be really good.

Yeah. Good games. The first game was annoying. I got him down to 2 life, and then I topdecked land, land, land, land. Or something like that. After he cast his Masticore, I was just trying to stay alive, and knowing I was dead anyways, (being at 1 life with only a Rootwater Thief on the board and him with a Core and 4 lands), I cast the Serendib, hoping he'd attack and give me one more round.

I sided out Windfall, Soothsaying, 1 FoW and 1 Misdirection for 2 Masticore and 2 Gainsay.

The second game was the best game my deck's had in this whole tournament. I drew everything I needed when I needed to, and with more land than Parrot my Core beat his Core into submission.

Game 3 I got mana screwed unfortunatley, and unlike Parrot in the first game, his opponent didn't draw only land, and he was able to get a Morphling out to kill me.

Windfall and Soothsaying are definatley out of the deck since I SB them out every game.
