By Matt the Great (Matt) on Sunday, February 10, 2002 - 10:47 pm:

I win over Enchantress in three games, one of which was a new milestone for me as a player. These games were also marred by incredible lag.

GAME ONE:

cooberp rolled a 3, using a 20 sided die.
cooberp says:'nice nice'
Matt The Great rolled a 1, using a 20 sided die.

And we're off!
...to a 33 second ping.

My early disruption haggles with his Balance over the cost of the game. I would like to purchase it with a 3-power flyer, but his Replenished Abyss is too rich for my blood. However upon inspecting the top of my wallet I find a Coin-shaped thing made of solid gold, which takes care of this analogy. Though his Karmic Justice and Pariah were burdens on the back of Mayor McCheese (5/5), I make a valiant comeback with a Necropotence.

One mana flood later puts me well ahead, poised for victory when Worship/Enchantress sucker-punches me.
But that's why I have cards that can kill an Enchantress, so I tutor for one and win.

GAME TWO:

This was the milestone game. I have no land and paris to six, only to find that both land are the colorless sort. I paris to five to see a hand of expensive things and one swamp. Keep. Oh dear, a first turn Strip Mine. I then proceed to go eight turns without a non-ritual mana source. The first turn Compost didn't help either.

Those were, far and away, the worst draws I have ever had, in any game of Magic, ever.

GAME THREE:

Early game involves me Duressing his lotus and Stripping his only land. My early threat does some damage before it's Balanced away. I keep the disruption flowing very heavily. But while I'm fishing for some sort of threat his Sylvan gets him some moxen and form there an Enchantress and finally, an Abyss. Howvever, I play the Comeback Card and follow through with two threats and more disruption, so game.

I'm sorry, but coob's deck is just not good. With the tax/rack engine, it did get by. Now, it autoloses to most, if not all, deck types. It wants to be either Parfait or PsychOath, I swear...:<

I disagree. It does not autolose. It _can_ deal with anything - but it seems to hate topdeck mode (which monoblack can force it into).
