Hey guys. I'm kind of new to Type 1 and have only recently gotten my reformatted formerly Type 2 deck critiqued on MTGNews. Here's the list.

4 Replenish
4 Intuition
4 Abeyance
4 Duress
2 Misdirection
2 Abundance
2 Seismic Assault
1 Yawgmoth's Bargain
1 Capsize
1 Frantic Search
1 Wheel of Fortune
1 Timetwister
1 Windfall
1 Time Walk
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Ancestral Recall

1 Mana Vault
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Crypt
1 Lotus Petal
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Diamond
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Ruby

Sideboard is undecided as of yet. I want to have a good idea of what my metagame will be before I really commit to anything. Of course, it will include 4 Red Elemental Blasts, and probably some Pyroblasts too, for good measure. Just for reference, here's Charles Kornblith's Type 2 Replenish Bargain deck from Nationals a while ago.

1 Abundance
3 Attunement
1 Delusions of Mediocrity
4 Intuition
4 Frantic Search
3 Forbid
4 Mox Diamond
4 Mystical Tutor
1 Peace of Mind
4 Replenish
1 Sacred Ground
1 Seismic Assault
4 Vampiric Tutor
1 Yawgmoth's Bargain

2 Ancient Tomb
4 City of Brass
4 City of Traitors
8 Island
4 Plains
2 Underground River

SIDEBOARD
1 Arcane Laboratory
4 Chill
2 Defense Grid
2 Erase
1 Light of Day
2 Mana Short
2 Propaganda
1 Wrath of God

BTW, if anyone knows where the name comes from, they should get a medal.

It appears that I forgot to add the land to the first deck. In case you were wondering, the land looks like this:

4 City of Brass
3 Tundra
3 Underground Sea
3 Volcanic Island
1 Tolarian Academy

The 61st card is for good luck. My personal touch. And sorry about the double post.

If you plan to resolve a Replenish you might as well make it Pandeburst since you'll do the same thing and win right then and there.

By Abaddon (Abaddon) on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 - 06:55 pm:

Well, if you Replenish with this deck, you should win right then and there, as well. Once you have Seismic Assault, Abundance, and Bargain in your graveyard, you cast Replenish, draw ten lands and send 20 at the opponent. I just think this is more fun. Plus it confuses newbies.

By Tristal (Tristal) on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 - 07:43 pm:

Difference is, you need 3 cards in the graveyard; Pandeburst needs two. You also don't seem to have many graveyard-filling effects compared to most Pandeburst decks I've seen. Another problem is that Bargain is restricted and therefore that much harder to keep in the graveyard. (Pandeburst, while very weak to Tormod's Crypt, can potentially Replenish the combo 3 times, while if your one Bargain gets removed, you are in deep trouble.)

I have one thing left to ask.

Timetwister in a Replenish deck???????????

You do make a good point Tristal. I originally had 3 Attunement in the deck instead of Timetwister and Misdirection, but Hippie Tourach suggested I should change it around. I guess it would be smarter to change it back. Plus, if I get Attunements in the graveyard, each one would give me 4 cards. Hmmm. Here's the revised decklist.

//Blue - 13
4 Intuition
2 Attunement
1 Delusions of Mediocrity
1 Capsize
1 Windfall
1 Frantic Search
1 Time Walk
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Ancestral Recall

//White - 8
4 Replenish
4 Abeyance

//Black - 7
4 Duress
1 Yawgmoth's Bargain
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor

//Red - 3
2 Seismic Assault
1 Wheel of Fortune

//Green - 2
2 Abundance

//Artifact - 11
1 Mana Vault
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Crypt
1 Lotus Petal
1 Black Lotus
1 Mox Diamond
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Ruby

//Land - 14
4 City of Brass
3 Tundra
3 Underground Sea
3 Volcanic Island
1 Tolarian Academy

I was thinking about adding Tinker/Memory Jar, but wasn't sure. Would be a good idea? I can't really think of what to take out.

If you intuition for bargain they will put it in your hand. You only have 3 main deck ways to get it from your hand to graveyard. 4 counting windfall. Thats not many. You have few enouph of the needed combo elements that there is not much hope of getting them without search like intuition. overall, I think the deck would be stronger as pandeburst.

Actually, the two Attunements, Frantic Search, Windfall, and Wheel of Fortune all provide me with ways to dump Bargain, but in my latest build, I am playing 7 ways.

//Blue - 15
4 Intuition
4 Attunement
1 Delusions of Mediocrity
1 Capsize
1 Windfall
1 Frantic Search
1 Time Walk
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Ancestral Recall

//White - 8
4 Replenish
4 Abeyance

//Black - 7
4 Duress
1 Yawgmoth's Bargain
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor

//Red - 2
1 Seismic Assault
1 Wheel of Fortune

//Green - 1
1 Abundance

//Artifact - 11
1 Mana Vault
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Crypt
1 Mox Diamond
1 Mox Emerald
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Ruby
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Black Lotus
1 Lotus Petal

//Land - 16
4 City of Brass
4 Underground River
4 Volcanic Island
3 Tundra
1 Tolarian Academy

Should I keep refining this or just give up and concentrate on something else? I really think this deck could have potential, but what do I know? Any way, the sideboard would be something like this.

//Sideboard - 15
4 Red Elemental Blast
2 Pyroblast
1 Balance
4 Orim's Chant
1 Tundra
3 ?? Something ??

Any suggestions for the main or the side are greatly appreciated.
