The Snotling17 stats system:
You get 77 points and then distribute them in any way you like among these stats:
STR ENGTH
DEX TERITY
CON STITUTION
LOG IC
KNO WLEDGE
CHA RISMA
CC (close combat)
SS (sharp shooting)
Another method is yust using %.
A stat and a %. So I would have 40% chance to hit someone in close combat... You can also yust make a list of 10 skills/traits your character is good at. And 1 skill/trait he's bad at for every extra good skill you take after the first 10.
The Snotling17 storyline:
Why not first create those guilds/armies and then create a world. They are all political or ethnic groups who want to rule the world. Example:
Clan Faerun and The house of Snot have made an alliance, later they attack some guy.
Rules: Guilds can have assassins, attack countries, use terrorism etc. Why not hire merc.wizards? Urza?!?
I think this new RPG mill needs primers about the clans/world/rules. This will make it easy-er for new player to understand what's goin' on!

This sounds like one of Terry Pratchett's books...
/me adds another line so it won't be a one-liner.
I think we should stay away from statistics; that would probably get people into thinking "game" rather than "role-play," unless that's what we want.
Extending the whole primer metaphor is a good idea, though I'd already been planning on offering a companion page with lots of helpful information. However, a brief primer located in the vicinity of the existing deck primers might help to generate RP-mill interest in newcomers to BD.
Hey Snotling17, I bet you play WH40k dontcha?
