I have the job as Autumn Gaeanewt, keeper of the truth, but any person who volunteers can be part of the Aelfin council of advisors. There are only six, but it is one of the most powerful cities and countries in the world, for both its trade, and influence on other countries. Volunteer as an Advisor here. It's sort of like a joint ruling council, with one person actually making proclamations that have been decided on.
Is tar valon an ally of the Capitol City-State, or is it in opposition to it. I'm wondering since one of the Soldevi council members (nix) is looking for a land to attempt a war with. Seems to me that the way you describe you guild though, its more likely you would just trade to each warring nation instead of actually fighting, but who knows?

Tar Valon only makes war with those who attack it, not spontaneously. It just kind of sits around and tries to control other nations rulers by sending advisors there. It's more of that kind of a city. Currently it has no problems with the capitol. If you want to be crushed though, attack us.
