So far, I have not found Nether Spirit and Contamination worth it. I mean, Trix is barely hanging on and the combo is so easily disrupted. Isn't it time to give up the combo?
By the way, removing the combo could allow maindeck Ascendant Evincar to surprise creature based decks and Swords to Plowshares if you are running white (which is practically must now, since Planar Void is everywhere and Seal of Cleansing is the only logical answer).
i have played with the idea, but if you pull it, you must add atleast one winter orb to the main deck otherwise control will stuff be tough. and there is no reason to not leave the combo in the board as well. because yes the combo is very easily disrupted right now.
Yes, it does. Nether Spirit has very good synergy with the deck and is good against control. Also, the Contamination lock single handedly shuts down SO many decks it's not even funny.
