I'm so used to playing the usual beat-down in extended like Stompy, Sligh (ugh!!), White Weenie and others like 'geddon and Three-Deuce that I just had to sit down and make a Secret Force deck.

Here it is-

Land-
3 Gea's Cradles
4 Wasteland
13 Forests

Spells-
4 Rancor (Just Couldn't Resist!!)
4 Natural Order

Creatures-
2 Verdant Force
4 Spike Weaver
2 Spike Feeder
4 Llanowar Elves
4 Fyndhorn Elves
4 Elvish Lyrist
4 Wall of Roots
4 Masticore
4 River Boas

Sideboard-
4 Emerald Charms
2 Spike Feeders
4 Choke
1 Woodripper
4 Uktabi Orangutans

I'm asking all of you Force players out there to tell me how you fare against the competition. What strategies do you use, and what type of mana base you find consistant.

Is my creature bas good or should I alter it in some way?

Any and all feedback is welcome!!

I've gone 9-3-2 in 2 qualifiers (1 Top 8 at DC) with this version of secret force.

4 Llanowar Elves
1 Fyndhorn Elf
3 Wall of Roots
4 Priests
4 Plow Under
3 Quirion Ranger
1 Rofellos
2 Spike Feeder
2 Overrun
3 Deranged Hermit
1 Skyshroud Poacher
4 Lyrists
2 Verdant Force
2 Masticore
4 Natural Order

3 Cradles
4 Wastelands
13 forests

Sideboard

2 Masticore
4 Emerald Charm
3 Choke
3 Phyrexian Furnace
1 Woodripper
1 Lumbering Satyr (Great Card)
1 Penumbra Wurm

Beat Trix twice,Miracle Gro twice (1 was a fun match with ID),Raisin Bran, Reanimator, weird secret force deck, Stompy,Deed/Disk/Monger, and Turboland twice

Lost to Holistic Wisdom Dumbo Drop, Countersliver, and Junk (didn't get swept in any of these losses)

I've been playing this for about a year now.It does pretty well.

How did the plow under help?

By p5 on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 - 09:14 pm:

the plaw under is used as a stall card, it slows your opponet incrediably, you reduce their mana base for a few turns and they draw up lands for two turns in a row.

Even when mono-green SF was still good, neither of tohse lists would be close to optimal. Infact, neither of those are quite SF. One is GreenFatMonstosity.dec and the other is Super Cradle Elf. :/ I'd say, if you want to keep SF alive, splash black (Duress, Deed, etc.)...and at that point, you might as well just play Rock.

Does Green have any thing to draw cards off of in order to obtain the cards it needs? If not, are there any artifacts worth using?

I've never played Secret Force.

That being said, I don't think there any artifacts worth using. Your best bet would probably be Collective Unconscious, at a hefty 4GG mana cost.

Which is why it's not played in Secret Force.

What about a symbiotic deployment? It's inexpensive, and with many creatures you could draw a lot of cards which could fill up your hand. Think of it especially with Verdant Force or deranged hermit.

Deployment is a little slow and it isn't any good until you get out your Hermit/Verdant. At that point, you should be attacking for the win and not trying to draw cards.

Also, if they Wrath, you scoop.
