I want to play Rock in GP Lisboa, can you help me please?? Do you think its viable in the actual metagame???

In GP Houston there were 4 Rocks in T64, the best in place 18th,I think. Pustilnik won all his matches in the second day with Rock, except 3 versus Junk decks. Strange!!! Because it is a slightly favorable matchup... He finished in place 30, more or less. And he wasn't running any vampiric tutors, and he wasn't using his "trademark maindeck choke". He played 2 Kegs and 2 Edicts maindeck. What do you think??
I think it's very bad yo play with 1 Death and 1 Plaguelord, and don't have any tutors for taking them. And the Death is fundamental in the deck!

Miracle-Gro is a favorable matchup, but the Legacy's Allure are a pain in the ass, do you think it's wise to sideboard in a couple of Emerald Charms??
Super-Gro is easy I think, if you can keep Enforcers in ground with furnaces, in graveyard with Deeds or Living Death, or race them with mongers. They also have swords...
I have to playtest that matchup, it's favorable or not?? Any advice on sideboard?? I will put results of my playtest when I do it...
And... do you think Volrath's Stronghold belongs in the maindeck or in the sideboard??
So... It's wise to play without tutors??
How do you play against Super-Gro??
Give me your opinions, I will discuss them...

what is the rock and what does it do

In looking at the stats from GP Houston, it appears that the Rock has about a 50-50 record against Gro/Super Gro. The StP is what makes the difference I believe, as loosing a Monger and gaining 6 life is negated by one attack with a Enforcer with Threshold. I agree with your comments about Mikey P's deck and the lack of only thought is he must have had a good reason to do it, but I would leave them in.

I had initially given up on the Rock after seeing the emergence of Gro decks, as I felt it was a bad match-up, but now am thinking that it can be turned around with some tweeking to the deck.

I would run the Edicts MD and Charms in the SB, with no doubt. Also, the Stronghold should now be MD, as Feeder recursion will save you against Sligh (which is a popular metagame choice against Gro right now). I would playtest the match-up against Gro/Super-Gro, Sligh and Oath as I think they will be the biggest players in the last weeks of extended.

As always, comments appreciated at l***l@l***
