Hello everyone.
I don't know if anyone else has been throwing this around yet, but in the right situation, Transcendance seems like it could be very powerfull.

Well, I've been trying to get a basic deck idea using Trans. with Forsaken Wastes, It seems like it could work, although it is a bit slow. I don't know how it would fair competetively, however, I think it would be fun to pull out casually.

so far I'm thinking about

4x Transcendance
4x Forsaken Wastes
4x Enlightened Tutor
4x Sterling Grove
4x Abeyance
4x Dark Ritual

-- This deck could definitely do with some mana acceleration, although I'm not sure what to use yet. The dark rituals may get the job done, but without playtesting I can't come to any conclusions yet.

As you can see the deck is mostly white, with the reason being transcendace requires 3 white mana to cast. Black doesn't need to be a predominate color, as Forsaken Wastes only requires 1 black. I've also been thinking about Dark Ritual. It provided the opportunity to play a first turn Wastes, and accelerates the casting of Transcendance.

As you can see, green is put in for the use of Sterling grove. Sterling grove seems to fit in nicely, allowing you to find the enchantment you need, and also protecting them when they are out.

I don't know about blue yet. Blue would allow for card drawing and a small number of counters, such as maybe 4 force of wills and 4 mana leaks. Or perhaps just 4 force of wills combined with 4 card drawer's and 4 mystical tutor's. Would 4 fact or Fiction work well? I'm not sure yet.

Anyway, I thought I'd throw this idea out there, and maybe get a little feedback. I know I didn't even touch on the manabase, but then I'm not even sure what is going to make the cut for this deck yet. Perhaps with Torment a few more cards will be released to help this deck further.

Any comments will be appreciated, and thanks for taking a look at this.

Combo
4x Transcendance
4x Forsaken Wastes

Search

4x Sterling Grove
4x Enlightened Tutor

Other

4x Abeyance
4x Dark Ritual
4x Fact or Fiction

Artifacts

4 Grim Monolith

Here is a decklist I just came up with, the cards I'm not sure about
- Fact or Fiction
- Sterling Grove
I think the Grim Monolith works well, it provides the exact colorless mana cost for the fact or fiction, and allows and early Transcendance.

I'm thinking about Mox Diamonds. They are mana acceleration, and would help support the 4 colors of the current deck, however they do not give you any additional mana in the long run, and are succeptable to Powder Kegs and myriad of other artifact destruction.

Well, as I said before, let me know what you think...

Oh and to Henge Wolf and Rico... I just saw your posts in the rumor mill. I went to the Torment post to see if I could find any new cards that might help this deck.

It's good to see that other people have seen this. Maybe you both have thought of how to make this work a little easier?

Anyway, any input would be greatly appreciated

dark ritual is banned in extended.... so i think you'll need to use grim monolith and/or other acceleration. also, academy rector works well with enchantments

How many six casting cost enchantments do you see in extended tournaments anyway?

Paranoid Android, If you read the post you would see

"I don't know how it would fair competetively, however, I think it would be fun to pull out casually."

I'm not looking to win tournaments. I looking to make a viable deck using Transcendance that will be able to win a few games.

Would it be possible for you to simply use Intuition and Replenish like a PandeBurst deck? This construction could potentially be stronger than standard PandeBurst if you plan in large group games.

no, replenish is also banned from extended. this is why you don't see pandeburst decks anymore.
