it looks like the miracle-gro based decks is real popular right now so I wanted ideas for a s/b that would make the matchup a little more favorable

if they are playing with the 3 colour version ruination is a good choice and, of course 4 pyroblast are a must...

Submerge, Pyro, and Powder Keg are all really nice...

it looks like the super-gro variants are pretty heavy on nonbasics and arent running too much enchantment-hate at least main so how about back to basics instead of ruination

i always like to try and fit in phrexian furnace. this helps to not let miracle gro get to threshold.

Pernicious deed

By Matt Caplan (Caplan) on Sunday, January 20, 2002 - 03:27 pm:

Ruination is better than Back to Basics because Gush and Daze and other such nonsense let them replay lands.

By Tracer Bullet, the DanDan Man (Tracer) on Sunday, January 20, 2002 - 03:49 pm:

True, but if they Gush or Daze in response to your Ruination, then you've destroyed your lands for nothing.

By Guapeton on Sunday, January 20, 2002 - 09:59 pm:

the only difference being that they have to gush or daze in response of the ruination right there, they cant wait to draw them later... which they can with btb...
As I said before, sorceries or instants are better than permaents when they have similar effects since permanents can be destroyed later on...

like I said pernicious deed...:), lol. I should really learn to read the posts properly.:)
