When I saw the Torment spoiler and looked at the card transcendence I immediately thought of Forsaken Wastes. Now, I know this deck probably isn't good enough for competitive play, but let me know what you guys think of it alright? I appreciate it.

Combo:
4 Transcendence
4 Forsaken Wastes

Utility:
4 Vampiric Tutor
2 Academy Rector
4 Cabal Ritual

Protection:
4 Spectral Lynx
4 Wrath of God
4 Vindicate
4 Duress
2 Death Grasp

Land:
4 Caves of Koilos
4 Scrubland
4 Tainted Field
8 Swamp
4 Plains

well, that's about it. so far, it has done fairly well on apprentice. It even managed to beat a burn deck once! Anyway, let me know how it looks. It's pretty fun to play.

You might want Phyrexian Tower to use with the Rectors

Honestly, I think the deck has potential.

I think you missed one important card for black/white: Gerrards Verdict

Cabal Ritual is a bit suboptimal in my eyes. Where do you pump in all this mana?

I would build the deck as following:

Combo:
4 Transcendence
4 Forsaken Wastes

Search:
4 Vampiric Tutor

Defense:
4 Duress
4 Gerrards Verdict

Removal:
4 Vindicate
4 Wrath of God
4 Powder Keg

Some Juice:
4 Tithe
4 Mox Diamond

Land:
4 Scrubland
4 Caves of Koilos
4 Wasteland
6 Swamp
2 Plains

The plan is as follows: use Tithe/Mox to give you early mana+card advantage, defend with Discard and Removal while searching for the combo and finally bring out the combo. It may not win the next Pro Tour, but I think it is capable of winning some small tournaments.

Hope this helps

I don't want to play donate. Not everybody just hops on the bandwagon when it comes to magic.

Well the Mox certainly isn't card advantage, but the Tithe certainly is.

But well, I've seen the point: the kill is too slow, to which I suggest to remove 1 Transcendence and 1 Swamp and to add 2 Death Grasp instead.
After all it's a fun idea and that's worth enough to keep trying.

I'm tending to agree with Mageta (not the language though) that this is surely too slow, and partly pointless.

If you get to cast this against rush decks, you should win, whether you play Wastes or not. But this a 6cc costing enchantment, and even with the Rector I think you are long dead before it matters.

Wastes is good against control, but you aren't going to get a Transcendence out against any blue mage who is awake.

I can understand having one of each as an alternative path to victory, but no more

Obiously.
I like the deck, its cool. The cabals just dont seem right, i know u have grasp but it just doesnt seem right.
Anyway nice deck

Thank you. I think it's a fun deck. Just because it can't totally destroy your opponent without them standing a chance doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to be a magic deck.

Ignore Mageta, Jericho.

He's one of the identified spammers on this Mill.
