Hi to all,

I attended the PTQ Tokio in Dallas this past Saturday. I didn't do good but what I saw was that there were no Tradewind Rider/Survival decks in the event. We were more that 50 competitors, and no one was playing that. According to several of the PT players at the event, in the current Env. for extended TS looses to every other dominant deck in the env. like Pandeburst or even sligh. But anyway, what are your thoughts on this?

I ended up 3-2-1. There were 6 rounds of paris, and when I left after round 6, TOP players were playing WW, PandeBurst, MONO Blue with Magpies, Sligh and Counter Sliver.

On the floor I saw several Pandeburst, Sligh, a couple of WW a few Counter Slivers, a lot of mono blue, 1 Tinker Deck, one B/R with LD, and several Stompy Decks and even a 155 card deck with Tinker and Crumbling Sanctuary (which I played and we ended 1-1 and did not finished game 3. I played Sligh.

1st Round I played vs Mono Blue. Lost first game, and then came back and won dealing a lot of direct damage and him not been able to cast his Chills.
1-0-0

2nd Round, i played vs. Counter Sliver (bad match for me), especially because in both games, my opponent was able to cast on second turn, Crystalline Sliver. Lost 2-0
1-1-0

3er Round, I was hoping to get a good match, but I played WW. I lost 2-0 not been able to deal enough damage that quick and not been able to deal with Soltari Priest with Emperial Armor on it. Both games were really close.
1-2-0.

Round 4, Played vs that 155 card deck with crumbling sanctuary. I won 1st game. I conceded 2nd game becaus he was able to play for the Crumbling Sanctuary and third game he was at 5 life, I had a Firebalst on my hand, 3 mountains and wasteland on the table, a Shock and a Pyroblast. Buy he had a Chill in PLAY and he top decked the tinker. He played it, I tried to counter that with my Blast, but countered with Thwart and he got his Sanctuary and we did not finished 3th game/ :(

5th Round. Played vs. WW Again, I was able to win it 2-0
2-2-1

And finally Round 6 I played vs. Pandeburst. I won first game by bringing several creatures and dealing damage. Second turn, he went off and kill me on round number 4 or something playing replenish and killing me with 2 Burst and a Pandemonium. Third game I was able to bring some creatures down and deal fair amount of damage, he played chill and slowed me down, but I was able to play Scroll on the first turn and then after I was not able to cast any cards from my hand because of a 2nd chill, I was luck enough to have 3 Ball Lightning in my hand and finished the game 2 points oat a time. J

And as a additional note, there was only one woman in this event, and after 5 rounds she was 1st with the only one with 15 points. Congratz. (Sorry, I don't know your name)
