The Team Sealed PTQ season is approaching. My team is ready, however, we haven't played in this format before. How much sealed product do you receive to build your decks from? Do you get 2 Invasion starters? How many packs of Invasion or Planeshift do you receive?
I'm pretty sure it's 2 and 4 , but I can't be 100% on that, it may be a bit more.
Nevyn's correct. Your team of three will receive 2 Invasion sealed decks and 4 Planeshift booster packs. From this rather small card pool you must build 3 decks, each comprised of a minimum of 40 cards.
More info can be found on WotC's website:

Team Sealed PTQ starts in June, by which time Apocalypse pre-release has passed. The format will probably be 2 Invasion Tournament Packs, 2 Planeshift Booster Packs, 2 Apocalypse Booster Packs.
Only if the PTQ is held in July. Set released in the first half of a month are legal the first of the next month; otherwise, the first of the month after.
They are legal in July for Constructed, they can be legal in June for Sealed.
Our teams are also beginning to prepare for the season. At my last check the dates for the qualifers were not yet posted. We are therefore planning to attend the grand prix in colombus. I would like to know if the draft portions of the qualifers and GP are standard draft or rochester? For team drafting, those two formats are drastically different.
I am also wondering about the signals that a team can use, if any. I remember that Gary Wise wrote about wearing fingernail polish so that he could signal to the rest of the team.
Another question. Do we decide what order we sit in for the draft?
There is a team sealed event at Origins (it's not a qualifier).
Last year's Team Sealed events was rochester draft for the finals.
When a team is submitted, each member is designated A, B, or C. That determines who you play against, and your seating order in the draft.
I don't know how it is ordered (i.e., left -> right or vice versa).
Does anyone know how sideboarding works in the sealed portion. Is it allowed at all?
Also, what kind of communication is allowed in rochester draft? One person told me basically anything non-verbal was legal but he wasn't certain.
Another question:
During a team draft, suppose I am on the left side of my team. Is my match against the player drafting in front of me or on the other end of the table?
For rochester, you only play the person directly across from you.
Almost any non-verbal communication is legal... i don't recommend some gestures, since they can be... er... unsportsmanlike ;)
Sealed sideboards are divided up, so you each have your own SB.
and just to confirm ... its 2 invasion/4 planeshift until the end of june where it becomes 2/2/2.
Not when it's run by Professional Events Services:
http://www.professional-events.com/PT%20NY%20-%2001%20Team%20Round/PTQNYT-06-09-01.htm
It's 2 Invasion Starters/2 Planeshift Boosters/2 Apocalypse Boosters.
I believe apoc becomes active on june 1st for limited. So all team qualifiers will be with Apoc (At least, I believe all north american ones are, Didn't check overseas)
According to the DCI, sets become legal for Limited the day they are released (the exception being prereleases).
